Bacon Wrapped Scallops

The perfect pairing of sweet scallop and savory bacon, this simple to make appetizer is too good to resist!

Serves 6

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. sea scallops
  • 1 lb. bacon slices (cut in half crosswise)
  • ¼ cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper

Method

Preheat broiler and coat a sheet pan with cooking spray.

Wrap each scallop with a slice of bacon, securing with a toothpick. Arrange scallops in a single layer on a sheet pan. 

Mix maple syrup, soy sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Brush mixture over each wrapped scallop. Make sure to save some mixture to brush onto scallops again halfway through cook time.

Broil for 10 to 15 minutes or until bacon is crisp and scallops are cooked through.
